Kushiro Zoo is situated at the far east of Hokkaido Island, Japan, and contributes to conservation for endangered species, Red- crowned Cranes and Blakiston's Fish Owls as the Propagation center. We also keep northern animals as Polar Bears, Amur Tigers, Harbor Seals, Steller Sea We also keep northern animals as Polar Bears, Amur Tigers, Harbor Seals, Steller Sea Eagles, and White-tailed Eagles, and tropical animals as Lions, Giraffes, Zebra, Ostriches, Orangutans, Chimpanzees and so on. Kushiro Zoo is located in the easternmost part of Hokkaido, and as a breeding facility for rare species of red-crowned cranes and Blakiston's fish owls, it contributes to their conservation.
